Jan Duursema
Jan Duursema (born October 27, 1954) is an American comic book artist known for her work on the Star Wars comics franchise. She was the creator of Denin and Vila from Naldar, the Twi'lek Jedi Aayla Secura and the Kiffar Jedi Quinlan Vos.
Both Duursema and Mandrake did the art for Marvel Star Wars 92: The Dream. She was the basis for the character Ur-Sema Du.
Outside Star Wars, Duursema has worked on several comics and magazines published by Marvel Comics and DC Comics, featuring characters such as Batman, Spider-Man, Wolverine and the X-Men.
Personal life
Duursema and her husband, fellow comics artist Tom Mandrake, have a son, Jack Moses Mandrake (born October 4, 1995), and a daughter, Sian Mandrake.
